What is the best air filter for sucking up cat (pet) hair?

I'm moving into my girlfriends apartment, she has 2 cats. I like the cats but can't stand all of the hair. Her living room is about 350 square feet.
this is a sign of her housekeeping skills which won't change and will cause you lotsa grief unless you are willing to accept them without argument. stay in your own place and live peacefully and clean.
