I'm replacing my fuel oil tank. It has two 3/8" lines coming out of the top of tank running to the pump on the furnace. One enters the pump at the bottom of the pump, the other at the side of the pump. Both lines, once removed, appear to go almost
Yes one is the return. To test the lines pull one of the lines out of the tank and see if it drawls or blows back. When reinstalling the lines keep them about 2" from the bottom of the tank even if you install a filter.
