is it possible to fit an aftermarket alternator to a 15 hp johnson outboard? how easy is it? what do i ask for?

There are no aftermarket Alternators that will fit, and as you have discovered the factory ones are NLA. AND even if you could find the parts, these were never really useful.......the output is just to small.....at trolling speeds it's not even a 'trickle",
