How do I find out what engine is in my 1978 Ford f-150?

It is not the original engine. it is an offenhauser engine with a holly carb. does anyone know how to identify an engine that is not the original

offenhouser is just the company that made the intake manifold, it could still be the stock engine with upgrades. Most likely it will either be a 300 I6, 302 V8, or 351m V8. More than likely a 351M. I don't know the block castings.
