is it ok to store books above radiator?

i want to place some shelves above the radiator to store my books

It really depends how far the shelves will be from the radiator and how deep the shelves are themselves.

For a shelf above the radiator, I would try to locate the bottom shelf at least two feet above the top of the radiator and have the
